I received my first Saint Christopher medal when I was young. It wasn’t particularly heavy or elaborate, but that never mattered. What mattered was who gave it to me—and what it meant.
Years later, when my son graduated from high school, I wanted to give him the same kind of gift. But I wanted to make it differently.

So we made one.
My sister saw it and wanted them for her sons, her daughter—and eventually herself. When my other son graduated, he wanted one too.
That’s when we realized we weren’t just making another piece of jewelry.
